Can't think of a shower theme that doesn't
either restrict the gift choices or necessitate
elaborate decorating chores?   Here's
the perfect solution! Choose a musical theme
such as "Love Songs", "Music
Down The Aisle", "Songs of Romance"
or "Wedding Music Favorites".
Have
on hand some wedding music CDs (see our "Wedding
Music Gift" page for some wonderful
CD choices), and let your guests critique
the music played. Encourage each guest to
talk about the musical selections played at
her wedding or, if single, the choices she
would make if planning her own wedding.
Everyone will have a favorite or two and some
suggestions for the bride to consider.
Whether
for the processional, recessional or reception,
there are choices to make and musical arrangements
to consider.   There are so many good
selections to choose from - everyone will
have an opinion to put forth.   Questions
such as what to play for the bride and groom's
first dance or for the bride/dad dance will
bring forth a lively discussion - and perhaps
some musical renditions from those that can.
Having
the appropriate music CDs available to listen
to will greatly enhance this discussion and
give the bride some definitive choices to
consider.
The
CDs make a great shower gift.   Give the
bride the CDs at the end of the shower and
she will have the tools to select her wedding
music with ease.   If you add the music
guide and planner "How
To Set Your Wedding To Music",
you will be giving the bride a practical gift
that will ease her music planning tasks and
enable her to enhance the emotional impact
of her musical choices.
While
the discussion is going on, make a note of
any favorite song a guest mentions as the
'first dance' at her wedding.   You will
want to suggest to the bride that she have
that particular song played during the reception.
  Guests always appreciate the opportunity
to dance to 'their' song.
To
enhance your bridal shower table decorations,
you could add some music note confetti and
some napkins with a music sheet design.
You could also add some music note cutouts
within your flower arrangements.   Other
musical decorations to consider might be balloons
in the shape of musical notes or posters featuring
a musical theme.
